Katya has a Master's degree in Somatic Psychotherapy from Naropa University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado, and also a certified meditation instructor. Katya specializes in working with individuals to develop healthy self-regulation, particularly those experiencing anxiety and/or self-criticism. She is most interested in helping clients thrive in all aspects of life, sharing skills that transcend the therapy session.
Her own personal journey toward a healthy, kind, and loving relationship with her self is what led to an overarching aim in Katya's work. Deeply inspired by yoga and meditation, her focus is to encourage connection to self and the body as a source of wisdom and guidance. She also takes from her professional experience working with women in an equine therapy setting, where participants learned how to set boundaries, navigate anxiety and fear, and cultivate self-compassion. Women who are looking to find a deeper connection with their bodies and wanting to learn self-regulation skills may benefit from partnering with Katya. She also encourages anyone who is interested in learning about meditation as a way to connect to self.
Originally from Estonia, Katya has long resided in the United States. She enjoys nature and flowers— walking through beautiful gardens is one of her favorite rejuvenating activities. She is also passionate about traveling, exploring, dancing, and sharing meals with friends.
